By now the word has spread and it’s official that President Obama and his administration successfully swept tonight’s town hall meeting and broke the debate tie. Not only did he keep pace with Romney in terms of zippy-ness but he out-foxed the Massachusetts Governor on practically every topic. As tensions were high, tonight’s town hall definitely sparked some great and powerful debate moments.

Among the unforgettable’s:

1. Romney attempted to rehash some comments made by the President on an earlier topic and defend his record of foreign (chinese) investments when he repeatedly asked President Obama if he ever looks at his pension, cause it’s got investments from China too. The President sharply responded “I don’t look at my pension. It’s not as big as yours so it doesn’t take as long,”

2. Romney’s got binders full of women—enough said

3. Moderator Candy Crowley fact checked Mitt Romney after he claimed President Obama failed to call the assassination of a US Ambassador in Libya an ‘act of terror’ when in fact the President used those very words publicly to describe the incident. Which caused a medium roar of claps from the crowd though they were encouraged not to make any sort of jeers during the debate.

4. Obama calls Romney out for wanting to keep the rich spoiled so they can get richer though Romney claims to be an advocate for the middle class and has been trying to connect with the middle sect throughout the campaign. President Obama noted “Governor Romney says he’s got a five-point plan. Governor Romney doesn’t have a five-point plan. He has a one-point plan. And that plan is to make sure that folks at the top play by a different set of rules. That’s been his philosophy in the private sector. That’s been his philosophy as a governor. And that’s been his philosophy as a presidential candidate.”

5. Romney talks himself in circles on the subject of immigration and makes a case for self deportation which if enacted will un-officially make life in America virtually unbearable for illegal immigrants by allowing enforcement to swell and seize whatever assets illegals have acquired (big or small) and will subject illegals to regular mandated harassment so much so that they will leave and go back to the horrors of where they came voluntarily. Romney categorizes it as “Self-deportation says let people make their own choice. What I was saying is, we’re not going to round up 12 million people, undocumented illegals, and take them out of the nation. Instead let people make their own choice, I’m not in favor of rounding up people and taking them out of this country.” The folks he spoke to and in tan-face at a forum for Telemundo a few months back can’t be too happy to hear this after his then stance on changing immigration laws to give latinos a chance.

A full on debate recap is in the works so fret not if you missed the action.
